Postino: Financial Analyst


Hybrid Role : 3 days onsite /2 days work from home


Location: 2 Broadway, NY, NY / Jamica NY


Duration : One year

This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site (or more as needed) and 2 days remote
Available locations are 2 Broadway NY; JCC in Jamaica NY, Graybar Building


Overview
The organization is seeking a experienced Consultant to support and manage financial reporting responsibilities across the full IT landscape.
The consultant will play a critical role providing and improving financial visibility and accountability.


Key Responsibilities
• Maintain, support and improve the reporting used to communicate spend insights to stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy and clarity of financial reporting


Required Experience
Strong understanding of financial operations, including (in order of importance):
o Financial reporting and analysis
o Budgeting/forecasting
o Accounting - ability to manage/book accruals/reversals/pre-paids/ CapEx etc
o Cost allocation
o IT Department Operations/Financials
o Contract management
o Procurement processes


Required Skills (in order of importance)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data modeling, complex formulas, pivoting, automation, scenario analysis)
• Power BI dashboards - building and maintaining
• PeopleSoft financials or similar ERP systems - sourcing/mining data and researching accounting and procurement transactions
• ServiceNow - sourcing/mining data and researching transactions (ITFM, CMDB, APM etc)


Ideal Candidate Profile
• Analytical and detail oriented, with strong problem solving skills
• Effective communicator capable of facilitating discussions with technical and non technical stakeholders
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high quality outputs in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable working with large, complex financial datasets and evolving frameworks
• Prior experience working with or supporting organizations within the MTA a plus
